These are really funny

just not for the reasons you intend.

crazyguylink responds:

well, the point is to make people laugh. I'm glad you liked it.

Very entertaining

It's clear that a lot of work went into this, so I can't discredit you for a lack of effort. The animation is good and Gaia's voice work is, of course, fantastic. The writing was a little weak, though. I'm not saying that it was bad, it certainly did its job, but it lacked the evident care and attention and detail that went into every other aspect of the cartoon. Really, it was simply a matter of the script not meeting my expectations or going where I wanted it to go. I guess that's why I should stick to writing things for myself. With that having been said, I still really enjoyed this animation and was very impressed by it. I think if this had been released on or around Halloween, it would have received a lot more attention than it might now, so don't be discouraged.

Short and sweet.

I really liked the frantic pace of the music and how it matched the movement of the lights. There were moments where it looked like they were in competition with each other.

Box-Killa responds:

Yep It was pretty fast :D

Boring, pointless.

Why do you release these in "episode" form, when there's hardly enough content here to warrant one full submission? These so-called animations are very dull and not very well-written. These "characters" that you've "created" might as well be the same person, they have no personality apart from very superficial and contrived traits with which the viewer is beaten over the head.

sorensilk responds:

"Thanks" for your "feedback".

Kind of puzzling.

Why wouldn't you use the real clip of him shouting "You lie!"? Some adolescent boy's attempt at imitating Joe Wilson's noisy insistence that Barack Obama is a liar doesn't really live up to the greatness of the real thing.

A little more than okay.

The animation is good and the story is pretty well-executed in a way that makes it easily understood. However, the story itself is less than thrilling. The music feels tacked on and contrived, occasionally weaken the impact of what is being shown rather than enhancing or helping it. As for the ending, there really isn't one. You claim that any ending you could have included would have betrayed and diluted the message of the story, but if you really want to be an artist, it has to be your job to find the ending that fits with and drives the message home. In a story like this, where the possibilities would have been endless and the story could have gone to really interesting places, this empty ending feels hollow, empty and smacks of an animator who has grown sick of working on a project. As evidenced by the fact that there was originally no sound to this piece and it has been in that incomplete state for many years, I can only assume that the ending isn't the real ending and is instead just a compromise you've made to justify the release of this animation as something complete, when that's not what it is. Also, your justification is weak. It would have been more convincing if you had said that the story was cyclical. You might say to me that I've just written my own ending and that's what you wanted, but I say to you that what you've done is little more than lazy and incomplete.

spanio responds:

Sorry! Thanks for watching.

I don't know how to feel about this.

This is some sort of... furry, weeaboo... furry... fandom... I don't even know. But for that very reason, I can't stop watching it. It's so foreign to me and so strange. So curious.

Affected negatively by the things you changed.

What made Mirror's Edge great was the character design and the atmosphere. You've effectively destroyed each of these things by using a trite, gauche design for the main character and tacky, corny music throughout. If you had stuck with a differently-styled version of the original main character from the game and used more dramatic, ambient music, this would have been excellent.

Unbearable.

Completely devoid of any significance or worth. This is patronizing and appeals only to the lowest of the lowest common denominator.

Really impressive.

Tons of talent on display here.
