Kind of puzzling.

Why wouldn't you use the real clip of him shouting "You lie!"? Some adolescent boy's attempt at imitating Joe Wilson's noisy insistence that Barack Obama is a liar doesn't really live up to the greatness of the real thing.

[The Future Wasn't There]

A little more than okay.

The animation is good and the story is pretty well-executed in a way that makes it easily understood. However, the story itself is less than thrilling. The music feels tacked on and contrived, occasionally weaken the impact of what is being shown rather than enhancing or helping it. As for the ending, there really isn't one. You claim that any ending you could have included would have betrayed and diluted the message of the story, but if you really want to be an artist, it has to be your job to find the ending that fits with and drives the message home. In a story like this, where the possibilities would have been endless and the story could have gone to really interesting places, this empty ending feels hollow, empty and smacks of an animator who has grown sick of working on a project. As evidenced by the fact that there was originally no sound to this piece and it has been in that incomplete state for many years, I can only assume that the ending isn't the real ending and is instead just a compromise you've made to justify the release of this animation as something complete, when that's not what it is. Also, your justification is weak. It would have been more convincing if you had said that the story was cyclical. You might say to me that I've just written my own ending and that's what you wanted, but I say to you that what you've done is little more than lazy and incomplete.

Simply fantastic!

This is really great. The only thing holding it back in any way are technical limitations and the lack of a real ending. Otherwise, though, this is great. Those sort of shortcomings may prevent your animations from receiving the recognition and praise that others get, but what's more important is that you continue to realize the things that you imagine in this creative way.
Keep it up James, I believe in you and you've never disappointed me in anything you've made!

Absolutely nothing special.

This isn't very clever, it's irrelevant and it's not very well-made in terms of its execution or concept. There's really nothing here worthwhile.

This grew on me.

At first, I wasn't overly impressed by this apart from the creative voice work.
I'm beginning to see the inherent charm, though.
For instance, the way Pikachu says "Ghandi" really gets to me.

Quite good.

The ending is abrupt and not that satisfying, but overall this is a fine animation.

Boring.

The only thing that can save this sort of animation is original or at least interest music. If I'm listening to an already over-exposed and mediocre pop song, it's hard to stay interested.

Interesting

The only thing this animation is missing is a central theme, design or story. The look of the animated lines itself is great and you're quite good at it. Try to actually "do" something with that capability of yours, though, don't just make random scribbles and animations.
